The body of a woman found in a Stockport park was in several parts, the Manchester Evening News understands.
The victim has been named locally as mum Yvonne Lawson McCann.
A murder investigation was launched after 'human remains' were found at Reddish Vale Country Park at around 10.30am on Monday (May 25).
Police said they believed they belonged to a woman in her 40s.
Yvonne, also known as Vonnie, lived close to the park in Brinnington. It is understood she was a mother.
