A mum has issued a stark warning over sippy cups after discovering her baby had been "drinking mould." She took to TikTok to share a video of what had happened after revealing the cup wasn't as clean as she'd hoped. Sharing a look at the cup, she captioned it: "My baby has been drinking mould for months all day daily!!” Her child had walked out of school with the cup and the mum decided to clean it herself.

However she was shocked to find the amount of mould she did upon peeling the cup lid off.The cup was filled with mould, leading the woman to ask parents to check the cups their children were using. She said she didn't feel angry towards the school, adding that she thought it was "an honest oversight." She said: "This is not an ‘I’m mad about it post’ just an awareness spread for others that use them & don’t know either.” TikTok users were disgusted by the oversight from the school, with one person commenting: "If you’re required to bring these specific cups then they should be required to know how to clean them.This isn’t OK at all." Another said: "Yes and don't forget about the clear rubber piece on the bottom of the lid too.
I have these exact cups and love them!” A third shared: "I work at a daycare and we completely take apart all cups/bottles before washing and sanitising them.This is just laziness on their part.” Another woman said that she always brought her daughter's cup home from school for that exact reason.
