Mrs. American Pie is an upcoming female-led comedy series following Maxine Simmons (Kristine Wiig) as she attempts to secure a place in Palm Beach high society. Cosnett will play Sergeant Tom Sanka. Based on Juliet McDaniel’s book, Mrs. American Pie hails from creator Abe Sylvia (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) and director Tate Taylor (Breaking News in Yuba County). Cosnett joins a cast that includes Wiig, Ricky Martin, Alison Janney, and Laura Dern, who also executive produces. Cosnett will also be seen soon in the upcoming feature Shoulder Dance. On television, he can be seen recurring on The Flash. Previous TV credits are Quantico and Vampire Diaries. He’s repped by Innovative Artists and manager Bob McGowan.

Carson Burton “Masterpiece,” the PBS staple behind past series such as “Downton Abbey,” has given a renewal to “Miss Scarlet and the Duke” and revealed the upcoming return date for popular drama “All Creatures Great and Small.” During the “Masterpiece” session at PBS’ second day of Television Critics Association virtual press tour panels, the franchise also revealed two new series: “Mrs. Churchill” and “Magpie Murders.”“Miss Scarlet and the Duke,” which stars Kate Phillips as the first-ever female detective in Victorian London, will return for a third season on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023 at 8 p.m.

PBS revealed its programming plans today for the coming year, including a second season of Native America and the premiere of the American Masters documentary about Anthony Fauci.
