BBC EastEnders and Desmond's star Mona Hammond has tragically died. Hammond, best known for her stints on EastEnders and Desmond's, has sadly passed away at the age of 91. Tributes poured in for the actress as the news broke on Tuesday, with Loose Women star Charlene White amongst those mourning her death.

Actress Mona Hammond has died at the age of 91.The Jamaican-British actress was best known for her role playing Blossom Jackson in EastEnders as well as her stint as Susu in Desmond's during the early nineties.The star joined the soap as Blossom in 1994 and played the character until her exit in 1997. She later returned to the soap as her character in 2010 for two episodes. Tributes have been pouring in for the star across social media.
