Morrissey cancels two more shows on US tour

EXCLUSIVE: Universal and director Jon Chu have finalized their ensemble for its adaptation of the global hit Wicked with Marissa Bode, Bowen Yang and Bronwyn James joining the film. Also joining the cast are Keala Settle, Aaron Teoh and Colin Michael Carmichael. They join previously announced cast members Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey and Ethan Slater.

The American Film Institute has released its annual list of 10 top TV programs of the year, with FX, Apple TV+ and HBO landing two slots each and ABC’s comedy Abbott Elementary representing broadcast solo. AMC, Netflix and HBO Max have one show apiece on the list.

Antonio Banderas’s latest film, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, screened at the Red Sea Film Festival this week, and the actor told the festival audience that he believes his animated feline is likely to return to the big screen in a fifth Shrek movie.

After the disastrous 1993 live-action “Super Mario Bros.” movie, which starred Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo as Mario Mario and Luigi Mario (yeah…), a new film version of the video game franchise languished in development hell until reports of the video game developer discussing with Illumination entertainment to do an animated film centering around the popular iconic character gamers grew to know and love.  Chris Pratt and Charlie Day will be voicing Mario and Luigi, while Anya Taylor-Joy plays Princess Peach.
