Molly-Mae Hague is offering to take on an assistant to grow her fake tan business with a salary of £20,000.The influencer who has over six million followers on Instagram caused uproar after appearing on podcast The Diary of a CEO, during which she used the quote about everyone having the same 24 hours in the day as Beyonce.People felt like she was suggesting that everyone could be a millionaire like her if they simply worked hard enough, and many weren’t happy, branding her comments “tone deaf”.Anger erupted after a screenshot of the job ad was posted on Twitter with a salary of just £16,845 per year.However, it is understood that the figure was wrong, and the company was always offering a salary ranging from £20-25,000.The former Love Island star has been looking for a social media content creator for her fake tan brand Filter by Molly-Mae.According to the job ad, the position would be temporarily remote, reads: “We are looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Executive to play a fundamental role in the day to day management of the social channels for the fast growing and thriving tanning brand.“As a member of the brand team your day-to-day activities will involve creating and executing the social media strategy and content with the aim to drive growth on each platform and contribute to driving traffic to the site.”A tweet about the job sparked debate, with some continuing the criticism of Molly-Mae and others coming to her defence.Molly-Mae has made a fortune since leaving Love Island alongside her boyfriend Tommy Fury in 2019, thanks in part to some huge brand deals.She landed a job as creative director for the UK/EU at fashion brand PrettyLittleThing, and more recently was reported to have signed a seven-figure deal
