Miles Teller had a little faux pas when meeting Prince William and Kate Middleton!
On Wednesday night (September 28), the 35-year-old actor made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where he recalled meeting the Duke and Duchess of Wales.
Back in May, Miles met William and Kate at the Royal Film Performance of his movie Top Gun: Maverick in London, and he broke a major protocol when they were first introduced.

Miles explained that ahead of the event, he and his cast members were given “rules of dos and don’ts” when it came to meeting William and Kate, adding, “There’s a lot of etiquette and I had a sheet so I wouldn’t f–k it up.”
“Right off the bat I messed up,” Miles admitted. “You’re not supposed to extend your hand right off the bat unless they do. But I felt the vibe, so I’m like ‘I’m going in, I’m going in.’”
Miles continued, “To their credit, they were very disarming. I was lost. Prince William’s eyes…Kate was beautiful and cordial, but with William I don’t know, I blacked out.”
Despite the little mishap, Miles thinks he was able to win over William.
“I think he’s a lifelong fan now,” Miles joked. “I was just picking up what he was putting down.”
