Former rugby player turned royal Mike Tindall may be preparing to appear in this year's I'm a Celebrity... Get me Out Of Here but it appears he may not have received King Charles's permission to do so. Mike, who is married to the King's niece Zara Tindall, nee Phillips, is said to have signed up for the ITV reality show, making him the first royal to do so.
However it seems that the 43 year old may be risking Charles's wrath, as it's rumoured he did not seek the monarch's permission before agreeing to appear on the popular reality show. According to The Times, while Mike has not received the King's permission for this TV appearance, the potential of earning six figures may make it difficult for the Palace to change his mind. OK! has contacted Mike's representative for comment.
And while his appearance in the series has not been confirmed by ITV, a source told The Sun: "It’s a massive coup. Mike has had a box seat for some of the most important moments in royal history for generations. “He is sure to be discreet, but his sheer presence means this series will be an absolute must-watch.” In 2015 Mike appeared in the shows The Jump and Bear Grylls: Mission Survive, which saw him drink a pint of urine.
