Michelle Heaton has shared a series of heartbreaking yet inspiring unseen photos that record her sobriety journey after she recently marked 14 months sober. Former Liberty X star Michelle, 42, had been addicted to cocaine and alcohol before she entered rehab last year.
Now, the star has turned her life around and marked 14 months sober and she wants to share her story to "help the still suffering addict". Posting a collection of unseen photos and videos to Instagram, the star She wrote: "I continue to share my story because by sharing I might just help the still suffering addict! "I’m just over 14 months, looking back at this person, I see fear, sadness, confusion, pain, and as that month went on I see hope, light, fight, and a desire to live." She added: "Whether you are the addict or a loved one of the addict, there is hope! If I can do it so can you! I follow a 12 step program, regularly attend my meetings and help others to achieve sobriety like I have.
"I have a life now I could never have imagined, a life without fear! Drop a message of your journey ! Let’s all help each other." In the montage of photos and videos, the mum of two can be seen in different states during her 14 month journey. Michelle's famous friends and supportive 306K followers were quick to celebrate her incredible milestone.
"Well done hunny proud of you," wrote Danielle Lloyd, with Denise Welch adding five clapping emojis. In April, Michelle spoke out on her journey to overcoming her alcohol addiction in a brave interview.
