Michael Owen agrees with Jurgen Klopp that the title race is not over, but accepts Liverpool's draw against Tottenham was a bitter blow to their chances. Manchester City were offered an advantage in their pursuit for a fourth Premier League crown in five seasons without even kicking a ball on Saturday afternoon.
After falling behind to an opener from Son Heung-min, Liverpool did hit back to earn a share of the spoils against Tottenham when Luis Diaz scored, but that result still means Pep Guardiola and reigning champions City can move three points clear on Sunday afternoon. They meet Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium later on (4.30pm).
At the close of play City and Liverpool will both have three Premier League fixtures to come. Ultimately, though, it could only take one more slip-up to determine where the trophy is headed on May 22.

Speaking to Premier League Productions, former Liverpool star turned pundit Owen said: "It's not a disaster. If City win all of their games they will win it anyway, but they only need to slip up once and Liverpool are right there. It's a blow, but the title rice is alive."
Speaking in his post-match interview, Klopp told BT Sport: "It's not that all games are played and we need a defeat on Sunday for City against Newcastle, there are other games to play. We have to keep going, that was always clear.
"We have a point more than before the game. That's the positive thing. We wanted three, that's not so cool."
