Michael Mosley's weight loss tips recommend 'banning' these fruits to lose a stone

When it comes to fast weight loss, Michael Mosley has plenty of advice.
And one of his unusual tips comes down to favouring some fruit over others.
The presenter and creator of the 5:2 and Fast 800 diets is a fan of Mediterranean diets and intermittent fasting. One key part of his philosophy is following a low-calorie, high-protein, low-sugar diet.
The former doctor is guided by his own weight loss journey after having lost 1.4 stone (8.9 kg or almost 20 lbs) and 'reversed' his diabetes by changing up his diet and exercise, the Express reports.
In his Channel 4 programme, Lose a Stone in 21 days, he guided five volunteers on a rapid weight loss regimen.
Read on for Michael's diet advice, which includes swapping 'super sweet' fruits for alternatives and the snacks dieters should eat.
Michael began: "Your waist should measure no more than half your height. Too much belly fat leads to increased risk of certain cancers, heart disease and Type 2 diabetes."
He suggested that if people do not take steps to combat this, "it can take years off your life."

On the Fast 800 website, Michael and his team compiled a list of foods that dieters can eat to lose weight fast, before moving onto a Mediterranean diet, which he described as a "way of life".
On the website, it recommended that dieters start their day off with eggs, as they are low calorie - around 63 calories in a medium sized egg.
Slimmers should ramp up their protein intake, consuming foods such as oily fish, prawns, chicken and turkey.
For meat-free eaters, beans - particularly edamame - dairy, nuts and seeds can provide adequate protein.
