Michael Fassbender looks set to replace US megastar Brad Pitt as the main man in a forthcoming adaptation of hit thriller novel The Killer.
According to media reports in the US, the film adaptation of the popular French graphic novel will be directed by David Fincher, of Fight Club and Se7en fame.
The Hollywood Reporter says Fincher initially favoured Pitt for the role of a successful assassin whose conscience begins to interfere with his gruesome work.
