Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards has jokingly called out ex-Manchester United player Matteo Darmian for an incident in 2015.
Richards, who was playing for Aston Villa at the time, recalled when the Italian full-back caused havoc in the penalty area during United's win over the Midlands club at Villa Park during the 2015/16 season. With the home side losing 1-0 after Adnan Januzaj put the Reds in front, Villa were desperately searching for an equaliser.
Before making his way up for a corner, Richards was struck in the face. United defender Darmian realised that he might be able to get one over on his opponent, and Richards recalled the incident when he and other guests where talking about the game's dark arts on BBC 5 Live.

"Do you remember Darmian? So I was playing for Villa at the time and we had a corner, an attacking corner," Richards said. "I had been hit in the face or whatever and I was a bit muffled. I wiped my face as I was going up for this corner and just as the ball is about to come in, he said 'you've got blood on your face'.
"So I've obviously tried to wipe my face, it's stopped me in my tracks and the ball is coming straight to me but because I had wiped my face, I missed the ball completely! That was the biggest 'housery ever, honestly. There's a clip of it on the internet and you'll find it if you look hard enough.
"He tried to get me out of my stride and he's better than that. You know, let's just go one versus one and whoever wins it is the winner."
United held on to their 1-0 lead and came out on top in the clash in August 2015, with Villa going on to be relegated that season with just 17 points on
