Metric have released a new video for their track ‘What Feels Like Eternity’. Watch the clip below.The track is the latest preview of the four-piece’s forthcoming new album ‘Formentera’, which is set for release on July 8, and is the follow-up to the band’s 2018 release ‘Art Of Doubt‘.
Metric previously released singles ‘All Comes Crashing‘, and ‘Doomscroller‘ from their yet-to-be released eighth studio album.The video for the slowly building single, features the band performing, as the track speeds up and vocalist Emily Haines sings, “It feels like eternity / For what feels like eternity / And what might overpower me / Head down, don’t look up” over building guitars and distortion. At one point in the video, the band looks into the camera, which takes on a ’90s style filter, changing outfits, having coffee, and preparing for another performance.The album is named for an idyllic island near Ibiza off the coast of Spain, a place the band said existed in a “dream destinations” travel book that happened to be on the desk of their recording studio.“We had been living in our imaginations for a long time, because we couldn’t physically go anywhere else,” guitarist and co-producer Jimmy Shaw said.
“When you listen to the album from beginning to end, you start with this immediate feeling of tension building, of being stuck in a loop, and then there’s this intense release that happens. You’re swept off your feet into the title track ‘Formentera’ and it’s like you escaped.”Haines continued: “We came to this realization that it wasn’t even about an actual place anymore, it was about creating an escape for yourself in your mind because you’re powerless over so many things.”Metric will embark on a North American tour in August in

Wade, and pledge to do something about it.Apple, who is well known for keeping a low public profile in between album releases, has recently been answering fan questions through the YouTube fan account “Fiona Apple Rocks.” On Sunday, she sent in videos answering questions, including one about her thoughts regarding the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade reversal, which effectively ends federal protections of abortions in the United States.“We have to talk about how we feel about this, how unacceptable this is, [and] have to keep on expressing ourselves, because this is just all about control,” Apple says in the video.

Alvvays have announced they’ll kick off a North American headline tour in October, and have also seemingly teased new music.The Canadian dream pop outfit will commence the run on October 14 in Chicago, continuing along with shows in Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Texas, Washington, Philadelphia, New York and more before wrapping up November 18 in Boston. Turnstile have shared an official music video for their ‘Glow On’ album cut ‘New Heart Design’, alongside the news of a North American theatre tour slated for October.The video offers newcoming fans a preview of what to expect from the tour, comprising a montage of shots filmed during their recent stints in North America and Europe. Shot entirely on 16mm film, it was co-directed by singer Brendan Yates and longtime collaborator Ian Hurdle, the latter of whom captured the concert footage. As for the song itself, the version of ‘New Heart Design’ featured in the video sports an extended ambient outro. LOONA have made their long-awaited comeback with the new mini-album ‘Flip That’ and a title track of the same name.In the stunning new visual for ‘Flip That’, the members of LOONA enter a summery wonderland on a retro-looking train, playing gleefully in a forest clearing filled blooming flora. Elsewhere in the video, the girl group perform the song’s choreography in a pastel-toned room filled with flowers.“Stay still, follow the new light that leads me / We love the way we go / Yeah, turn it all upside down,” they sing in the dreamy pre-chorus.The ‘Flip That’ mini-album features a total of six songs, including the intro track ‘The Journey’, which was previously featured in the group’s comeback trailer.
