Memphis Depay has already proven that he has learnt from a mistake that could have played a big part in his underwhelming spell with Manchester United.
The Dutch forward joined United from PSV Eindhoven in 2015. Depay arrived with a glowing reputation having scored 50 goals in 123 appearances for the Eredivisie side despite only being 21 when he left the Netherlands.
However, it seemed like a move to the Premier League was too big a step up for him. He would only spend a year-and-a-half at Old Trafford before moving to Lyon in the January transfer window.

Depay managed to rebuild his career and his fine form for the French club led to a move to La Liga. Now 28, Depay is linked with a transfer and his comments after he initially joined Barca suggest that he has learnt an important lesson.
Speaking last year, Depay told Sport: "I always try to create a lot of danger and be direct, looking for the shortest way to score a goal. Be creative. I love how Barca plays and I want to adapt as soon as possible. I want to win trophies and help the team with assists and goals.
"I have to give everything I have inside for the team. I have come here with all my qualities and I am going to try to apply them. You cannot compare Lyon with Barca. This is a new adventure for me. Another club, another changing room, something totally different."
A perhaps fair criticism of Depay was that he wasn't fully aware of the step up he was making when he moved to United earlier in his career. Despite being given plenty of opportunities early on in his Old Trafford spell, he struggled to make an impression and his chance at one of the biggest clubs in the world soon passed him by.
