'Member of staff stabbed' on Glasgow hospital ward as police descend on scene

Police have descended onto a Glasgow hospital after a member of staff was reportedly stabbed this morning.
Officers were called to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary on the city's Castle Street at 10.30am . On arrival, a 23-year-old woman was found injured.
Her injuries are not believed to be serious. Officers investigating the incident confirmed a 69-year-old man has been detained.
There is no wider threat to the hospital.
A probe has since been launched into the incident, with bosses from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde assisting police with their inquiries.
A spokesperson said: "We can confirm that police were called following an incident at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and we are co-operating fully with their investigations. We are providing support to any staff who have been affected by the incident."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a disturbance within ward at Glasgow Royal Infirmary around 10.30am on Saturday, 24 December. A 23-year-old woman was injured in the incident and has received treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be serious.
“A 69-year-old man has been detained and there is no ongoing incident or risk to the wider hospital.”
