Melanie Chisholm, 48, most famously known as Mel C or Sporty Spice, has revealed that she didn’t feel the need to warn fellow singer Robbie Williams, 48, that she would open up about their romance in her autobiography. The singer’s book, titled Who I Am, was published earlier this month and is something of a tell-all, with Melanie also revealing the health issues she faced at the height of her Spice Girls fame. In her memoir, The Spice Girl opens up about her romantic involvement with Take That member Robbie in the mid-90s.
However, she has revealed that prior to the book’s publication she didn’t warn the Angels singer that she would be further discussing the pair’s former romantic connection. “Nah, sod him!” Mel told Women’s Own magazine, adding it was a relationship that had simply run its course. “I’m not warning him about anything the way he’s behaved over the years.
Like all of us, relationships come and go." “It really hurts at the time, but once you’re over it, you’re over it and you move on. Still, it was nice to put the truth out there,” continued the 48 year old. In her new book, Mel has also opened up about the impact fame can have on someone's mental and physical health.
Talking to the Daily Mail, she said: “I never want to look back on that time negatively, but it is important for me to tell the difficult parts of my past. “Our culture has changed so much and so many young people are hungry for fame. And I just want them to be prepared.
It’s not plain sailing.” Melanie has previously spoken to OK! about parenting her daughter Scarlet, 13. She said: “Any parents of teenagers will know exactly how much of a handful they can be. But she’s absolutely wonderful.
