Meghan Markle Says She Reached Out to Queen Elizabeth Following Prince Philip's Hospitalization

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the decision to step down as senior royals and as a result of this they lost their royal patronages. Harry, 36, and his wife Meghan, 39, stepped down as members of the Royal family last year, with a 12 month review being agreed.

Prince Harry, 36, and Meghan Markle, 39, made sure to keep Prince Philip‘s health front and center before their shocking interview with Oprah Winfrey, 67, aired earlier this month, according to Gayle King. The 66-year-old broadcast journalist revealed that although the interview was filmed before the Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to the hospital for a heart condition, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had a deal that they would postpone the airing of the special if he had passed away beforehand.

Gayle King has revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would’ve postponed their Oprah interview if the Duke of Edinburgh passed away. The CBS anchor—who is a close friend of Oprah and Meghan—explained that the Sussexes “would not” have allowed it to air when it did if “something had happened to him.”

It has almost been 48 hours since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey aired and there has not been any word from the royal family or palace officials till now. After the couple’s confessions, many are looking up to and demanding answers from the Palace after revelations were made by the couple.  One shocking moment came when Meghan said a member of the royals expressed concern over the potential colour of their son Archie’s skin when he was born.
