Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, marked the fifth year anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire with a very sweet gesture to the women of the Hubb Community kitchen. In 2017, 72 people sadly died after the residential Grenfell Tower caught fire.
223 people escaped and more than 70 people were injured.The Hubb Community Kitchen cook for many people in their local community, including the people affected by the Grenfell fire. On the anniversary of the tragedy, the group revealed that Meghan , 40, had sent them voice note from her home in Montecito, Santa Barbara.
Sharing an old snap with the Duchess on their Instagram page, they wrote: "Today is a day spent looking back, remembering and reflecting. Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter "I just found this picture of us all, on the day our cookbook came out.The Duchess had wrapped a book for each one of us and wrote a lovely message to each lady on the first page." They added: "Always very thoughtful, today we received a lovely voice message from the Duchess, being the 5 years anniversary of the Grenfell tragedy, asking how we are, about our children and families and giving us news of hers.

Meghan reportedly began meeting with the the women of the Community Hubb kitchen back in 2018.They then collaborated to create the charity cook book, Together: Our Community Cookbook. On the third anniversary of Grenfell in 2020, Evening Standard reported that the Duchess of Sussex told the women in an audio message: "I think back to when I met all of you and how you had all come together in the wake of what you experienced in your community.
