Seventeen young people in Salford are setting off on exciting new career paths thanks to a scheme aimed at helping 16 to 24-year-olds out of unemployment.
Progressive landlord ForHousing has provided placements in roles across the company, ranging from HR to waste management, through the government's Kickstart programme.

Tonight’s episode of Long Lost Family is going to be an emotional one, with a former footballer set to be reunited with his birth mother following his recovery from a brain tumour. Dominic Matteo, who played for clubs including Liverpool and Leeds, was diagnosed with a rare and cancerous brain tumour in 2019, and after coming through the ordeal he was spurred on to reconnect with his birth mum who put him up for adoption 46 years ago.

Free NHS dental care extended to include around 600,000 young people from end of August
free NHS dental care for all young people aged 18to 25 have been introduced at the Scottish Parliament. Amendments to the regulations which cover the cost of NHS dental care will mean around 600,000 young people will benefit from free dental care from the end of August - subject to Parliamentary approval.
