Vanity Fair, Emma, who recently starred in Marvel's "WandaVision," recalled preparing for 2010's "Gigantic" series when things felt off."Prior to starting that job, I woke up one morning and the left side of my face felt like there were a million ants crawling on it," she said. Soon, Emma got tested for several things, including Bell's palsy, but found out the results while shooting a scene that it was MS. The diagnosis, she said, "was literally a kind of nightmare." The actress, now 49, was also in denial, despite the fact her father lived with MS."'No, that's not possible.' I'm like, 'What are you talking about?,'" she said. "[The doctor] was very matter of fact about it."In that moment, Emma decided to keep her diagnosis a secret, save for a few close friends. "I knew in my bones that if you talk about this, you're just going to stop working.
That's it," she said. "And no one had been really vocal…. The only reference points I had for anybody who was out there were Montel Williams and Annette Funicello from The Mickey Mouse Club."After 12 years of living with MS, Emma, who starred as Anya in "Buffy," decided it was time to publicly reveal her health condition, largely because it's beginning to affect her acting. While shooting "WandaVision" in 2020, Emma was worn out due to the heat in Atlanta and Los Angeles, where the series was filmed."I got really weak.
I just went into survival mode and I remember having to be outside…. It was just unfortunate timing really," she added. "But I was very, very uncomfortable, and no one knew.
I said nothing. And I paid the price for that."Her condition is no longer secret. "I'm so tired of not being honest," she said. "My daughter has changed my perspective, as I think anybody who

EJ Panaligan editor As part of a new initiative, the United States Mint will honor Anna May Wong, star of movies such as “Shanghai Express,” by making her the first Asian American featured on U.S. currency, placing her likeness on quarters with production starting Oct. 18. The printed quarter shows an image of Wong resting on her hand, serving as a tribute to what most consider the first Chinese American movie star. She was born in 1905 in Chinatown, Los Angeles and died in 1961 of a heart attack in her Santa Monica home. Wong started her career in the entertainment business at 14 years old, talking her way into her first movie role. In the following years, she rose to stardom as among the first Asian American stars in Hollywood and appeared in more than 50 films. Though the quarter seeks to pay tribute to her career in the film industry, it also acknowledges the difficulties that came her way trying to land meaningful roles as an Asian American actress during a time where racial discrimination and commonplace practices of putting white actors in “yellowface” to portray Asian characters was prevalent. In addition, Wong’s characters were often killed in the films she acted in, which she once joked about, saying that she had already “died a thousand deaths.”

Felton writes that he wasn't much of a drinker until he started frequenting Barney's while «craving normality.» «I went from being not particularly interested to regularly having a few pints a day before the sun had even gone down, and a shot of whiskey to go with each of them,» he writes, adding that he was «drinking to escape a situation.» He says he had drinks on set and would show up «unprepared» for work. Tom Felton and Jade OliviaFelton goes on to reveal that his managers, agents, then-girlfriend, Jade Olivia, lawyer, and more staged an intervention for him, demanding he go to a rehab facility in Malibu, California, that cost $40,000 a month immediately or they would drop him as a client.
