Leonardo DiCaprio has described Martin Scorsese‘s new film, Killers Of The Flower Moon, as a “masterpiece”.DiCaprio stars alongside Robert De Niro in the movie, which details the real-life killings of the native Osage people in 1920s Oklahoma, where oil deposits were discovered.Jacqueline West, the movie’s costume designer, who also worked with DiCaprio on The Revenant, recently recalled a conversation she had with the actor about Scorsese’s film.Speaking to Deadline, she said: “I was talking to Leo about it. As part of the Winter 2022-23 issue, directors like Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Barry Jenkins and Ari Aster were invited to contribute their favourites.Scorsese’s top pick, 2001: A Space Odyssey, was named the overall favourite from the collective votes.

Just last week, it was reported that Apple TV+ is expected to send “Killers of the Flower Moon” to this year’s Cannes. While that has yet to be confirmed, a new report from Variety throws some more films into the mix as possible additions to this year’s event.

29th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, honoring the best film and TV performances of the past year, were handed out live.For the first time since 1998, the ceremony was not broadcast on TV. Instead, it aired on Netflix's YouTube channel after it was announced that the platform will begin streaming the ceremony live in 2024, as part of a multi-year partnership with SAG-AFTRA. Going into the awards,  and both led with five nominations each, including four individual acting nods and one for ensemble.

Ray Liotta's family and famous friends gathered on Friday to pay tribute to the late actor as he received a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.The actor died in his sleep on May 26, 2022, while in production on an upcoming film,, in the Dominican Republic, but he was aware of the Walk of Fame honor prior to his death.Liotta's daughter, Karsen, spoke at the ceremony, and she shared exclusively with ET's Will Marfuggi how much the honor meant to her father. «It was a huge honor for him and he was proud of himself, as me and my whole family were,» she noted. «I know it was definitely very special to him and it was a monumental moment in his career.»The proud daughter also said her dad would have been «surprised» by the outpouring of support following his death.«I mean, of course everybody loved him, but he didn't look at his life and his work as if everybody's watching all the time,» she explained.
