Martin Lewis has revealed how thousands of people across the UK are paying too much Council Tax and explained how easy it is to check and challenge your local council. In the latest episode of The Martin Lewis Money Show Live, the financial guru told viewers how there are around 400,000 homes on the wrong Council Tax band.

Martin Lewis appeared on Lorraine Kelly’s morning TV show this week to encourage every woman watching to check they are being paid the correct amount of State Pension. The money-saving expert has made the plea several times recently in an effort to give women across the UK a gentle nudge towards checking their payments.
