Marlin Briscoe, American Pro Football's First Black Starting QB and Member of Undefeated Dolphins, Dies at 76

Miami Dolphins' undefeated 1972 team, died of pneumonia on Monday at the age of 76. Briscoe's daughter, Angela Marriott, informed the Associated Press of his death. Nicknamed «The Magician,» Briscoe was the first American professional football starting Black quarterback after being selected by the American Football League's Denver Broncos in 1968.

First Dates star Merlin Griffiths has been admitted to hospital after revealing he was suffering from bowel cancer complications. The TV star, 46, shared the news of his bowel cancer diagnosis last year after doctors discovered he has a 4.5cm stage three tumour. As part of his treatment plan, Merlin underwent surgery in April to remove the tumour and was discharged from hospital after 6 days.

American actress Mary Mara has died after her remains were discovered in the St. Lawrence River on Sunday 26 June. Mary was best known for starring in the likes of ER, Law & Order, Criminal Minds and Ray Donavar, to name a few.

Michael Morgan made history Friday by becoming the first Black actress to win in the Outstanding Lead Actress category. She plays Amanda Sinclair on the CBS drama.

Taylor-Johnson, who just wrapped the shoot of “Kraven the Hunter,” introduced 15 minutes of footage of the action-packed comedy thriller “Bullet Train,” which was also shown at CinemaCon.“I watched (the movie) last week and I was literally howling with laughter to the point that I almost peed on my seat a little.

Netflix gave fans a sneak peek at Ana de Armas' Marilyn Monroe with the teaser trailer of "Blonde." The trailer dropped Thursday and features de Armas as Marilyn Monroe.The trailer shows the actress in various scenes.  "Blonde" was written and directed by Andrew Dominik.The film is based on the book written by Joyce Carol Oates in 2000. Other cast members include Bobby Cannavale, Adrien Brody, Julianne Nicholson, Xavier Samuel and Evan Williams. The movie has received a NC-17 rating, meaning nobody under 17 will be permitted to watch the film.This is the first Netflix film to receive the rating.
