His newborn baby boy was born prematurely at 28 weeks last month and Josh Wright has given an update on how his son is doing. Mark Wright's younger brother told OK! that his little boy is “doing well” and will hopefully be able to come home next month after arriving 12 weeks early and weighing just 2.4lbs. Josh - who also has one-year-old son Joshua with his wife Hollie Kane - said, “He’s doing alright.
He’s made big improvements the last ten days. He seems to be on the right path, so fingers crossed.” Josh, 33, is running the London Marathon on April 23 with his older brother, former TOWIE star Mark. His parents, Mark Wright Senior, 67, and Carol Wright, 63, are also walking the 26.2 miles and Josh hopes his son will be out of hospital in time for the big race.
“We’re hoping he may be out of hospital by the day of the marathon, in terms of being home anyway. Whether he’ll be able to come or not, we’ll have to wait and see. But he’s doing well,” Josh said.
Opening up on Hollie going in to an early labour, Josh revealed: “It wasn’t a nice time, for any parent going through something like that. It’s opened my eyes to how many babies are born prematurely and the doctors and hospital have been incredible, we can’t thank them enough.” “He seems to be doing well, so long may that continue and please God we’ll have him home soon. "We’re close to having a name for him - we’ve narrowed it down to a couple so it won’t be long.” Josh and Hollie haven’t publicly named the little one yet, but he said they’ve “narrowed it down to a couple”.
