Mark Owen has got Take That fans very excited by revealing the 90s band are very much in talks about new music. The 50-year-old previously told Metro. co.
uk progress was underway on new material, with bandmate Gary Barlow corroborating the tasty little morsel of intel. The frontman also revealed that the Patience hitmakers’ collection of tracks will land next year ahead of their hugely anticipated 2024 world tour. However, since earlier this year, Mark, Gary and other member Howard Donald have kept schtum about their plans – until now.
Appearing on Tuesday’s episode of This Morning, Mark was asked about Take That by an eager Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. Phillip said: ‘We have to ask you because – I think you’ve hinted at it yourself -there’s some little rumbles, rumors… You guys still do get together; there’s still plans; still something else to do?’Mark responded: ‘Always. Yeah, yeah.
And I’ve seen them this week, which has just been lovely. ‘We have a movie coming out next next year called Greatest Days, which we’re excited about and we’ve seen a rough cut. Our music sort of plays a backdrop story.
And it was brilliant and I went with Gaz [Gary Barlow] to go and see it. We went to the cinema but we weren’t allowed to have popcorn. So we’re a bit gutted.
In the cinema, you couldn’t eat popcorn but the movie looks great. Most excitingly of all, Mark said: ‘And we’ve been talking about getting back in the studio. So we hope to do that next year as well.
