Marcus Rashford has turned down the opportunity to sign for Tottenham this summer and wants to stay and fight for his place at Manchester United, according to reports. Rashford struggled to conjure up his best form last season after undergoing shoulder surgery in the summer.
The 24-year-old only scored five goals in 32 appearances for United in all competitions and he was only left on the bench during Ralf Rangnick's spell as interim manager. Rashford will have to impress new boss Erik ten Hag moving forward.
Ten Hag could present the England international with further obstacles as part of his much-needed rebuild, though, with United keen to sign a versatile attacking option. Darwin Nunez is on the radar in that regard amid interest from bitter rivals Liverpool, who look like favourite to sign him.

Elsewhere, reports from ESPN claim United will encounter heavy-handed competition from PSG if they are to snap up Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona this summer. De Jong is a concrete target for United and Barcelona are thought to be open to selling the 24-year-old in a bid to ease ongoing financial concerns.
Barcelona are looking for around £70million for De Jong so they can pursue their own transfer targets. If the 41-cap international does arrive at Old Trafford, it would see him reunited with his mentor
