‘Mank,’ ‘Tenet’ Win Top Film Prizes at Art Directors Guild Awards

Nelson Coates has been reelected president of the Art Directors Guild, IATSE Local 800. Coates, who ran unopposed, was first elected to the post in 2015.

The Trial of the Chicago 7 editor Alan Baumgarten topped the dramatic feature editing category ofAmerican Cinema Editors's 71st ACE Eddie Awards, whilePalm Springs'sMatthew Friedman and Andrew Dickler won the category for best edited comedic feature, during Saturday's virtual ceremony. This is the third ACE Award for Baumgarten, who also accepted Eddies for American Hustle in 2014 and Recount in 2009.

Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Mulan and Promising Young Woman were the film winners at the 2021 Costume Designers Guild Awards on Tuesday night. The virtual event — recognizing excellence in film, TV and short-form costume design — was hosted by To All the Boys star Lana Condor and streamed live on Twitter.

The 25th Annual Art Director’s Guild Awards is taking place tonight as a reimagined virtual show. Hosted by Curb Your Enthusiasm’s J.B. Smoove, the event runs from from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m., PT and celebrates outstanding production design in theatrical motion pictures, television, commercials, animated features and music videos.
