The Manchester United takeover process does not look like ending anytime soon.
The addition of Finnish entrepreneur Thomas Zilliacus as a third publicly-known bidder keen on acquiring a controlling stake in the club from the Glazer family has reinvigorated the initial two-horse race. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani also tabled revised offers last week.
Another round of bidding seems inevitable, though, as the added competition has yet to drive up the price sufficiently enough for the Glazers to flinch. Here are the latest United takeover headlines:

Secondary bids from Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are both below the £6bn valuation the Glazers have placed on United. That's according to ESPN, who also claims Thomas Zilliacus' late entry - which is "on the same level" as the other two public bidders - also falls short of the mark. It's thought all offers are priced around £4.5bn with bidders said to be hopeful of reaching a negotiation with the Glazers.
Zilliacus has called upon Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani to join forces with him to buy Manchester United, with the Finnish businessman apologising for referring to the club as 'ManU'.
Zilliacus, who is chairman of the social media company novaM Group, submitted a proposal last week which would see him buy United before selling a 50 per cent stake back to the fans. Supporters would then pay roughly $6 to have a stake in the club.
