Manchester United are fielding enquiries from clubs amid the possibility some players could leave before the January transfer window closes.
United rejected a loan offer from Sevilla at the start of the month as they hold out for a buyer prepared to cover his £200,000 weekly wages in full and pay a loan fee of around £6million.
Newcastle want to sign Jesse Lingard on loan in a deal that would be identical to Martial's, Donny van de Beek has been offered to Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund while Dean Henderson is still pushing for a loan move amid interest from Ajax.
None of the aforementioned quartet have started a game this month and Rangnick conceded last week United have 'too big a squad'.
"I don't know," Rangnick said when asked if there could be any outgoings. "I know which players would want to leave. I know that there are some negotiations with clubs but I am not involved in that. I will probably be posted and made aware if something is happening. We will all have to wait and see what happens."
United returned to fourth on Saturday with victory over West Ham and stayed there after both Tottenham and Arsenal dropped points on Sunday. Spurs were comfortably beaten 2-0 by third-placed Chelsea and the Gunners held at home 0-0 by Burnley.
Despite the uplifting victory over West Ham, Rangnick is measured about United's progress as Tottenham and Arsenal have games in hand on them. Arsenal are two points behind having played a game fewer and Spurs have two in hand.
