Manchester United will not appeal against Casemiro's suspension after the midfielder was sent off during Sunday's 0-0 draw with Southampton. Casemiro was dismissed in the 34th minute having initially been shown a yellow card for his challenge on Carlos Alcaraz, before referee Anthony Taylor upgraded it to a red card following a VAR review.
United have decided not to make an appeal to the Premier League and the midfielder will serve a four-match ban, in games against Fulham, Newcastle, Brentford and Everton, because it was his second red card of the season.

United decided against lodging an appeal because they did not believe there was a strong enough case to be made for the decision to be overturned.

Manchester United are continuing their overhaul of the data department with the capture of Alex Kleyn from Southampton. United have set out to recruit data scientists, machine learning scientists, analysts and engineers as they look to become one of the best clubs for data analysis.
The latest capture sees them set to hire Southampton’s highly-rated lead data scientist for an Old Trafford role. Kleyn has spent almost six years with the Saints, having joined them as a data analyst in September 2017. He was then promoted to lead data scientist in January 2019.
