Erik ten Hag has added to his coaching team at Manchester United by appointing Benni McCarthy as a first-team coach.
The 44-year-old will work with the first-team squad at Carrington and will offer particular insight to the forwards, having had a successful career as a striker in the European game.
McCarthy will have focus on positioning and finishing with the forwards, but his work will not be limited to United's attacking players.

The former South Africa international has managed Cape Town City and Amazulu in his home land since 2017, but left his role with the latter in March after leading them into the CAF Champions League.
He has now accepted a role with United to begin a coaching career in Europe. McCarthy is a United fan and has experience in the Premier League, having spent four seasons with Blackburn Rovers and two with West Ham United.
McCarthy began his career in Europe with Ajax, spending two seasons in Amsterdam in the late 1990s. He also played for Celta Vigo and Porto before moving to the Premier League. He scored 153 goals in 422 games in his senior career and netted 31 times in 79 caps for South Africa.
McCarthy's arrival adds to the coaching ranks at United. Ten Hag brought Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren with him as assistant coaches and kept Eric Ramsay as first-team coach from the previous regime.
Goalkeeping coaches Richard Hartis and Craig Mawson have also remained at the club.
