Marcus Rashford will not feature for England in their upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Italy and Ukraine after withdrawing from the squad due to injury.
The striker is thought to have picked up a knock in Manchester United’s 3-1 FA Cup quarter-final win over Fulham on Sunday, being substituted seven minutes from time. Rashford has 51 caps for his country and was the joint-top scorer for England at the World Cup with both him and Bukayo Saka netting three apiece.
He is also United’s top scorer this season with 27 goals to his name. Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Nick Pope of Newcastle have also withdrawn from the squad, with only Tottenham goalkeeper Fraser Forster coming in.
