A man missing from Edinburgh for two days has sparked an urgent police search. Michael Jones disappeared from Parliament Street in the Leith area of the city just before midnight on Tuesday, August 2.
The 55-year-old has not been seen or heard from since, prompting officers to ask for the public's help as part of their ongoing efforts to trace him.
Cops say that although Michael, who speaks with a Welsh accent, has been known to venture off himself for a few days in the past, worries are now mounting for his wellbeing.
Michael is described as 6ft tall, of medium build, with a red bushy beard. He was wearing a Bob Marley t-shirt and beanie hat when he vanished.
He was also carrying a rucksack. Anyone with any information Michael's whereabouts is being urged to come forward. and share any details with police.
Sergeant Richard Homewood said: “Michael has gone off for a few days on his own in the past but we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and I would ask anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to get in touch. “If you can help please calls us on 101, quoting reference number 1277 of Thursday, August 4, 2022.”
