A man has been stabbed in broad daylight in Glasgow city centre after a disturbance.
Emergency services were called to Gordon Street at 3.05pm on Tuesday afternoon amid reports of a disturbance.
Ambulance crews attended and a man was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
Pictures sent to the Record showed officers standing guard outside the new Tesco Express store on the corner of Gordon Street and Union Street.
It's understood police remained at the scene for several hours and their enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A Police Spokesperson said: “Around 3.05pm on Tuesday, March 7, police received a report of a disturbance in Gordon Street, resulting in one man being seriously assaulted. The man has been taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and enquiries are ongoing.”
