A man has been seriously injured after a crash on a major road near Bolton.
Emergency services were called to Blackburn Road, north of Egerton, at 1.16am today (Wednesday, September 15) following reports a Toyota Corolla had come off the carriageway.
The vehicle was travelling northbound near to the approach to Stones Bank Road when it crashed.
No other vehicles are thought to have been involved.

Emergency services, including police and fire crews, raced to theM8 at around 5am on Sunday to reports of a one-vehicle collision. The smash took place near junction 31 at West Ferry heading westbound.
