A homeowner was left gobsmacked after discovering that he had an entire house with four rooms hidden away inside his attic. The man, who was unaware of his property's history, was blown away as he uncovered the remnants of an old shop which was later turned into a church inside his loft.
The owner explained that after exploring inside the property's attic for the first time, he was met with a crawl space that he described as being no larger than two metres in height, the Mirror reports. However, he had spotted a small gap in the ceiling and curiously decided to venture up through it where he uncovered another 'creepy house' house inside his attic.
The baffled man took to Reddit to share his extraordinary discovery: "It was a store where the owners lived upstairs. But it was turned into a church - I'm guessing the church owners didn't want to bother with knocking it down so they just built around it."
The hidden house features a living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom and even has a few abandoned pieces of furniture and personal belongings inside. The man explained: "They laid insulation over the floor boards of the house.
"But what's more interesting is the floor to the attic - it's not studs with insulation in between but a hardwood floor covering the whole attic with insulation on top. [There is] junk, an old cabinet, a tire, a hat, a toilet and sink [inside].
"Dirt, lots of dirt, and spiders. Its kind of like it's frozen in time up there. I saw some newspaper pieces, I'll have to collect them and see if I can get a year off it."
While most users were equally as amazed by the man's remarkable discovery, others warned him to 'sell the property' quickly before any ghouls appear.
