Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne has been compared to Lionel Messi when he was at Barcelona after another dominating performance in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola's side have picked up where they left off as they continued their perfect start to the season. City followed up their 2-0 win at West Ham with a 4-0 win over Bournemouth at the Etihad to make it six goals in two games - still yet to concede a goal.
Bournemouth were only allowed to have one shot on target during the entire match as Guardiola's side flexed their muscles over the newly promoted south coast team. Although Erling Haaland was not on the scoresheet this time round, the Norwegian did provide an assist for City's first goal with his first touch of the game as he set up Ilkay Gundogan after just 18 minutes.

The frightening reality for City's opponents is that even without their star striker getting on the scoresheet, Guardiola's side still managed to find the back of the net on four occasions. They have world-class players all over the pitch, yet one person in particular stood out from the crowd after his performance on Saturday.
Speaking to TalkSport, former Premier League striker Tony Cascarino compared De Bruyne to arguably the best player to have ever played the game.
Cascarino said: “De Bruyne was De Bruyne at his best, his goal was terrific.
“City are a team that’s going to pull you to shreds. Kevin De Bruyne is now the Lionel Messi of what Pep [Guardiola] had at Barcelona.
“He will just take the ball everywhere and use it. He’s pivotal to them.”
