Paris Saint-Germain reportedly offered Neymar to Manchester City in the transfer window, with the Ligue 1 champions keen to 'appease' Kylian Mbappe.
According to Marca, City had no intention of signing the 30-year-old forward and the move was emphatically rejected by Pep Guardiola. Mbappe and Neymar clashed last month during PSG's win over Montpellier, with the two strikers seen arguing over penalty duties after the Frenchman had missed an earlier spot-kick.
While Neymar has never directly addressed any links with City, he has previously expressed his desire to remain in Paris.

"I still want to stay at the club," he said. "So far, the club hasn't told me anything, so I don't know what their plans are for me."
Elsewhere, the Evening Standard report that City are interested in RB Leipzig centre-back Josko Gvardiol - despite the defender signing a contract extension with the Bundesliga club on deadline day.
The Croatia international was linked with a move to Premier League rivals Chelsea this summer, with reports claiming that the Blues bid €90 million for his services. Thomas Tuchel added centre-back duo Wesley Fofana and Kalidou Kouliably to the London club's ranks, but was keen to sign another defender.
RB Leipzig chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff has claimed that he expects Gvardiol to stay in Germany for at least another two seasons, but City are thought to be monitoring the 20-year-old's situation. However, it remains to be seen if the Premier League champions will make a move, with Guardiola moving to sign Switzerland defender Manuel Akanji on a five-year deal late in the window.
