Man charged after woman’s body found at Airdrie house following 'isolated incident'

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in a house in Airdrie.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Barra Drive shortly before 8am on Tuesday, December 20.
The woman has now been formally identified as 51-year-old Stacey Warnock. Police have charged a 52-year-old in connection with her death, which they believe was an "isolated incident".
He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, December 26.
Detective Inspector Campbell Jackson said: “Our thoughts are with Stacey’s family and friends and they are being provided with support by specialist officers.
“We believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider community.
“There may be a police presence in the area as our investigation continues and I would like to thank the local community for their assistance with our enquiries.”
