A man was arrested after a five-mile police chase ended in a crash in Bury.
Officers first spotted a 'suspicious car' near Fletcher Street in Bolton just before 2.10pm today (Sunday). The driver failed to stop for police and sped off so officers gave chase.
The car then crashed on Bolton Road in Bury, more than five miles away from where it was first spotted. Paramedics checked over a 29-year-old man before he was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.

He was taken into custody, police said. Eyewitnesses reported seeing at least four police cars and one ambulance at the scene of the crash, which happened near the junction with Ainsworth Road.
One car appeared to have been left badly damaged in the smash and was being recovered. It has not been confirmed whether any other vehicles were involved.
In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 2.10pm today (25 September) we became aware of a suspicious car near Fletcher Street, Bolton. The car failed to stop when requested by officers and a pursuit ensued before the car was involved in a collision on Bolton Road.
"A 29-year-old man was assessed by colleagues from NWAS before being taken to custody where he will be questioned on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop for police."
