Manchester United fans have implored the club to give Alejandro Garnacho the vacant number seven jersey next season after his goal against Wolves.
The 18-year-old scored fifth goal of the season in the 2-0 win after coming off the bench for his first appearance since suffering an ankle injury against Southampton on March 12. His 94th-minute strike confirmed the three points after Anthony Martial found the net just after the half-hour mark.
Garnacho signed a new five-year deal a fortnight ago to secure his long-term future at Old Trafford. The Argentine now has 10 goal contributions, including five assists, since making his full debut in October.

Garnacho was poised to make his senior international debut after being called up to the Argentina squad for the second time in March, but had to put those dreams on hold after suffering his ligament injury.
The youngster was given a rousing reception when he came on for his first appearance in two months with eight minutes of regular time to play against Wolves, before he lifted the roof with his goal.
The teenager recently liked a social media post calling for him to be given the No.7 shirt next season. The jersey is vacant following idol Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit in November.
A number of United fans have called for Garnacho to be handed the shirt despite his tender age. Many on Twitter made the point as soon as his hot hit the back of the net on Saturday.
