Married At First Sight UK's Lara Eyre left viewers at home in tears as she announced she's giving up on love following her time on the programme. The contestants all gathered to face experts Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas for one last time on Tuesday 18 October's episode, with each pairing taking a seat in front of them to relive their relationship and assess where they are now. As Lara, 49, and Richie, 51, sat with a noticeable distance between them, the blonde beauty launched into a speech on why she feels love is simply not "in the cards for me" – leaving the experts, her fellow contestants and viewers at home emotional. When asked if this was her last chance at love, she replied: "Yeah.
I'm done, I'm just done. I just can't anymore. I'm really just done.
"I think it's a shame because I really just wanted someone who was going to like me for me." Wiping her tears, she continued: "I guess now I can say I've tried everything, even coming on a TV show to find love. I really have explored everything. If you keep being allergic to sea food, stop buying sushi.
Do you know what I mean? "I just don't seem to... Obviously it's not in the cards for me." Mel then replied: "I would hate to think you would give up on love. You've got so much to give in a partner." To which Lara, who recently called Richie "fake" and "dishonest", replied by explaining that she feels better in herself and said you "can't please everyone".
