Love Island viewers insist Luca and Gemma will win show as she tells him ‘I love you’

Love Island’s Luca Bish and Gemma Owen have been one of the strongest couples in the villa - and had some of the least drama. On Friday night’s episode there was a recoupling and Gemma, 19, chose to stick with 23 year old Luca in a romantic speech.
However, before the recoupling in the morning the pair sat in the garden with Gemma resting her head on Luca’s chest. She told him: “I love you,” while Luca paused for a few beats before professing his love back.
Gemma playfully hit him on the arm for his pause but didn’t shy away from being vocal to the villa about her love. During the recoupling she said: “I genuinely believe I've found a best friend and partner.
I can't wait to get back on the outside and experience all the things we've been talking about.” Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the pair and one said: “I think Gemma and Luca are still on track to win, even after all the s**t he’s done!” Another added: “I think Gemma and Luca could win it you know #LoveIsland,” while another echoed this: “Lol in an ideal world Luca and Gemma should win this by a mile”. Earlier the pair expressed their love for each other when fishmonger Luca uttered the words "I love you" but rather than get the response he wanted, Gemma responded: "That’s actually mad to hear that." Luca persevered and nudged his partner to try another answer which resulted in her finally saying: "I love you too." Sitting in the Beach Hut afterwards, Luca left viewers teary eyed as he admitted it was "one of the best days of my life".
