The stars of ITV’s Love Island join the show to find love, but one former contestant actually left the villa in the name of love. Cornish aristocrat Ollie Williams joined the cast of the 2020 series of Love Island in search of love, but after just three days in the villa he left, declaring he was still in love with someone outside of the show.
And it looks like he made the right decision, as three years later the couple are still very happily together, and have just announced their engagement. Ollie and new fiancée Laura Nofer announced the news on Instagram on Sunday, revealing they’d gotten engaged the day before whilst visiting Brown Willy, Cornwall's highest hill on Bodmin Moor.
Ollie shared the snap of him and Laura on top of the hill beaming at the camera, captioning the photo “Strange things happen up on the moor”.The carousel of images also showed a shot of Laura’s new engagement ring, a stunning round diamond on a slim band. Fans of the aristocrat were keen to congratulate them, although one commenter pointed out something suspiciously absent from the photo, joking: “Congratulations to you both...those knees look suspiciously clean though Ollie.
Don't tell me you didn't get down on at least one of them.” The pair looked at home in the wild countryside, both opting for green jackets and long boots, with Laura wearing taupe coloured leggings while Ollie stuck with a classic pair of jeans and a wide brim hat. Ollie is known for his frequent snaps of life in the countryside, sharing pictures of him out and about with his working gun dogs and friends. The aristocrat previously found himself in hot water with animal rights group PETA after posting a gory photo of deer he had shot and killed whilst hunting. The Cornish
