Before it was revealed they'd won Love Island, Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan sat down for a live interview with presenter Maya Jama to look back at their best bits. Sanam, 24, and Kai, also 24, discussed their initial attraction to one another during the Casa Amor twist and revealed their plans for after the show, and Sanam accidentally revealed she loves Kai, leaving the pair in fits of giggles.
As host Maya, 28, asked her about arriving on Love Island as a bombshell, Sanam admitted: "For me, it was always Kai. I always said he was my number one." "Obviously he's a very attractive guy, but a part from the looks, I was just like I love, I fell in love," Sanam added before breaking into giggles and covering her mouth as she realised what she'd said.
Kai placed his arm around Sanam and laughed in shock as Sanam sweetly hid from the cameras. Maya jokingly asked for the clip to be repeated as the audience also joined in and laughed with the couple.
Sanam's sweet comment came just moments before she and Kai were announced as the winning couple of Winter Love Island 2023, beating Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall, who came in second place. Tom Clare and Samie Elishi came in third place while Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad placed fourth.
