New Love Island bombshell Jamie Allen walked out of his football job to join the ITV2 dating show. It was revealed earlier today, Wednesday 20 July, that Jamie was one of four newcomers heading into the villa following two current Islander's exits.
Jamie, 23, teased ahead of his debut: “I shoot, I usually score, if I want something, I’ll go and get it.” In the wake of him being revealed as a new bombshell, Jamie’s football club Halifax Town have released a statement via Twitter.The club penned: “Jamie Allen has decided to join the cast of [heart emoji] Island 2022, making his intentions clear that the opportunity is very important to him. “The matter will be reviewed on his return.” One person expressed their surprise at the news stating that Jamie had “literally just been announced”.
“Jamie Allen from Halifax to Love Island on a short term loan,” quipped another football fan. Meanwhile, one aggrieved football follower penned: “Jamie Allen, who signed a new contract at Halifax 11 days ago, f**ks off to join the cast of Love Island.” Alongside Jamie in joining the villa is Brazilian influencer Nathalia Campos, dancer Lacey Edwards, and model Reece Ford.
