Former Love Island star Malin Andersson has unveiled a horror scar on her neck that she received whilst suffering domestic abuse at the hands of her former boyfriend. 29 year old Malin’s ex-boyfriend, Tom Kemp, 28, was jailed for ten months in September 2020, after admitting actual bodily harm. Kemp was released from jail after serving just three months of his sentence.
Posting the heartbreaking picture of her neck to Instagram on Monday, Malin called for “MORE education on relationships/domestic abuse in schools/universities”. Alongside the photo, Malin posted an extract from a book that she wrote named, Positivity Is Our Superpower: Everything I've Learned about Trauma, Grief, Confidence and Self-Love. I know he was trying to f**k with my head, calling me ‘a liar with mental health issues’ in public before the hearing, but I also felt in my heart that all my angels were looking after me, because every time the police rang me about the trial, It would say 18:18 or 17:17 on my clock.
“And every time he was going to submit a plea, I happened to be out of the country.The angels were definitely protecting me. When he changed he’s plea to guilty at the eleventh hour, I cried in sheer relief. “In September 2020, he was sentenced to 10 months in prison for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
