Love Island host Laura Whitmore has defended her decision to ask Remi Lambert to do a farewell rap on Sunday's Aftersun after he was dumped from the villa. During the latest episode of the ITV2 spin-off show, Laura, 37, spoke to the model, 22, from Manchester after his exit as she asked: "I'm a little bit gutted that you're out because we didn't really hear enough rapping...

Remi, who had previously rapped in the villa, rolled his eyes and then started to perform before adding: "Nah, that's all I've got" as the audience cheered in support. After the show, viewers were quick to accuse Laura and Aftersun of "humiliating" Remi by asking him to rap.
One person said: "Why do they keep asking Remi to rap ffs, you can tell he doesn’t want to do it #Aftersun #LoveIsland." However, host Laura was quick to hit back at the claims and defend herself, replying to the latter tweet she explained: "Remi is a rapper and asked in good faith in advance if he’d rap and prepare something which he did.
