Couples are tempted away from their partners by gorgeous new singles joining the show.The second Mallorcan villa is arguably the best part of Love Island, but one of the show’s bosses has hinted that it may not be returning to the 2022 series, which starts on June 6. Executive producer Mike Spencer took part in a Q&A on Reddit on Wednesday where he vaguely answered that Casa Amor was not confirmed to return this season.
One fan asked him: “Will casa amor be back this year? Also has the cast been chosen for this year and have you seen them?" He replied: "I have met the cast of 2022 and think they are a brilliant group.
“I am excited to see them head into the villa. “In terms of Casa Amor, we never confirm or deny whether we are bringing it back. Would you want it to come back this year?" Mike did confirm that the food challenges, which have been called ‘gross’ and a ‘waste of food’ by fans, will not be returning this year.
